Games to Circle
2/13 vs Cleveland State: The Golden Eagles and the Vikings have faced each other twice all-time and the series is currently tied at 1-1. Cleveland State took their first meeting, 7-5, in 2019 and Marquette won a thriller last season, 11-10 in overtime. Cleveland State’s Tristan Hanna forced overtime with :13 left in regulation and Chris Kirschner scored the game-winner for Marquette in overtime.
2/20 & 4/3 vs/@ Denver: Since Marquette’s entrance into DI lacrosse, these two programs have had some memorable battles. And while Denver may look like the clear cut more talented and experienced team this season, these two contest could be some good ones and carry some weight. In their last meeting in 2019, Denver edged out a 9-8 victory.
3/17 @ Notre Dame: The Golden Eagles and Irish have faced each other a total of eight times and Notre Dame has won every single meeting. However, there have been some very close games, including consecutive one-goal contests in the 2016 and 2017 regular seasons. Marquette will be looking to come out of this matchup with a “program win.”
