While it has taken a bit longer for teams and conference to get their schedules together for the 2021 season due to the Coronavirus outbreak and various restrictions surrounding the virus, Schedule release schedule has finally begun!
The Cleveland State Vikings are the 29th DI to release their 2021 schedule and third independent. The Vikings come into the 2021 season after going 2-5 during the shortened 2020 season.

2/13: @ Marquette: The Golden Eagles and the Vikings have faced each other twice all-time and the series is currently tied at 1-1. Cleveland State took their first meeting, 7-5, in 2019 and Marquette won a thriller last season, 11-10 in overtime. Cleveland State’s Tristan Hanna forced overtime with :13 left in regulation and Chris Kirschner scored the game-winner for Marquette in overtime.
3/13 & 4/17 @ Bellarmine: The Vikings and Knights have faced each other every season since Cleveland State’s first season, scrimmaging in 2017 and facing each other in the regular season each year since then. The Vikings hold a 2-1 lead in the series and have won the past two contests, including a 17-8 blowout in 2019. Last season’s meeting was the closest ever between the two squads, as Cleveland State edged Bellarmine, 9-8, in game that saw the momentum constantly swing back and fourth, especially in the final two quarters.
