2021 Schedule Preview: Fairfield Stags

While it has taken a bit longer for teams and conference to get their schedules together for the 2021 season due to the Coronavirus outbreak and various restrictions surrounding the virus, Schedule release schedule has finally begun!

The Fairfield Stags are the 31st DI team to release their full 2021 schedule and fourth CAA program to do so. The Stags come into the 2021 season after going 5-2 during the shortened 2020 season.

  • Plays three CAA teams (Delaware, Hofstra, UMass) twice.

Games to Circle

3/3 @ Providence: Fairfield opens the season on the road against Providence. This will be the first meeting between the Stags and Friars since 2015 when Fairfield took home the 10-6 victory. This matchup will feature one of the best offenses in the CAA in Fairfield from last season and one of the best defenses in the nation from last season in Providence.

3/6 & 4/2 vs/@ Delaware: One of three CAA teams that Fairfield will play twice, they will meet Delaware in early March and early April. The series between these two is split 5-5 all-time with Delaware winning the last contest in 2019, 15-7. Fairfield hasn’t beaten Delaware since 2017, which was the last of a five straight wins in the series for the Stags.
