While it has taken a bit longer for teams and conference to get their schedules together for the 2021 season due to the Coronavirus outbreak and various restrictions surrounding the virus, Schedule release schedule has finally begun!

The LIU Sharks are the 57th DI team and seventh from the NEC in our 2021 schedule preview series.

Games to Circle

2/24, 3/6, 3/20 @/vs Sacred Heart: Due to last season getting cut short, the LIU Sharks will face Sacred Heart in their first-ever NEC contest. They are currently scheduled to play the Pioneers three times this season and with where both of these programs are talent-wise, this has the potential to be a pretty good series.

4/3 @ Merrimack: LIU and Merrimack both moved from DII to DI and into the NEC last season. That storyline alone makes this matchup a marquee game, or at least one of interest. Additionally, these two programs know each other very well and have played each other in some highly competitive games over the years. Last season, LIU beat Merrimack in overtime, avenging a 15-4 loss against the Warriors in 2018. Now both in DI, this matchup should be another competitive one and an NEC rivalry could be born, as well.
