Week eleven of the college lacrosse season is officially in the books. And while there were outstanding performances across the country, here’s our three stars from week eleven of the season.
Spencer Rees, Goalie, Navy
Against arch-rival Army West Point, the senior goaltender has his best performance to date. Rees not only recorded a career-high 19 saves (14 in the second half) but held the Black Knights’ offense to just four goals, marking the lowest goal output for a team in the series since 2009 and lowest for Army since being held to four goals against Loyola in the 2017 Patriot League title game.
Ryan Lanchbury, Attack, Richmond
In the Richmond Spiders’ 21-8 win over the Mercer Bears that earned them the top seed in the SoCon Tournament and a share of the league’s regular season title, Lanchbury has himself another career day. The fifth-year senior notched 12 points off five goals and seven assists to tie the SoCon single-game points record, which he set earlier this season against Bellarmine.
Christian Mule‘, Attack, Lehigh
After seeing his brother, Cameron, make headlines with his overtime game-winner for Duke on Thursday night, the younger Mule’ made some noise of his own on Saturday in Lehigh’s 18-12 win over Bucknell. The sophomore set new career-highs for himself with seven goals and three assists for 10 points in the victory.
