After a 2021 season in which the Siena Saints went 0-8, losing by an average of 1.875 goals, and ending the year with a 12-11 loss against eventual MAAC champions Monmouth in the conference quarterfinals, Liam Gleason’s squad will be returning their top-leading scorer.
Via the Siena men’s lacrosse Twitter account, the Saints announced that attackman Jack Kiernan will be returning to Siena for a fifth and final season of college lacrosse in 2022.
A Ridgewood, N.J., native has been the Saints’ leading scorer for the past two seasons and was a top-three point-getter during his sophomore season in 2019. He led the Saints with 34 points off 23 goals and 11 assists this past season while racking up second-team All-MAAC honors.
Kiernan returns to lead an offense that brings back two other top-five scorers and starting attackmen in George Rusnak (6G/4A) and Colin Gleason (3G/6A). The Saints have also announced that attackman Nick Casner (1G/2A) and midfielder Nick Pepe, who started in the opener against Canisius but only saw action in two games in 2021, will also return for a fifth season in 2022.
