Kevin Warne and the Georgetown Hoyas have added a pit of grad transfers in former Notre Dame attackman Connor Morin and former North Carolina attackman Alex Trippi. Ty Xanders of Inside Lacrosse was the first to report the news on Thursday night.
Morin comes to Georgetown after a four-year career at Notre Dame in which he saw action in 23 games and put up a career total of 39 points off 26 goals and 12 assists. The Bernardsville, N.J., native’s best season in South Bend came as a sophomore in 2019 when he started all 16 games and ended the season as the Irish’s third-leading scorer with 36 points off 23 goals and 13 assists.
Trippi, a Great Falls, Va., native, has been a constant contributor for the Tar Heels’ offense through his four seasons in Chapel Hill. Trippi has appeared in 50 games since his freshman season in 2018 and has started in nine of those contests. He was the Tar Heels’ seventh-leading scorer during the 2021 season, which saw them make a Championship Weekend run, tallying 25 points off 13 goals and 12 assists. He has put up a career total of 74 points off 44 goals and 30 assists during his time in Chapel Hill.
The pair of attackman join a Georgetown program that is coming off an NCAA Quarterfinal appearance and loses 68 points (51G/17A) with the graduation of attackman Jake Carraway. The Hoyas return a young-ish offensive core that features attackman TJ Haley (5G/49A) and midfielder Dylan Hess (17G/7A), who are coming off stellar freshman campaigns, as well as rising junior attackman Graham Bundy Jr., (36G/12A).
