The Duke Blue Devils have announced the return of attackmen Joe Robertson, Cameron Mule, midfielders Nakaie Montgomery, Matt Chmil, Cameron Badour and goalie Mike Adler for a fifth and final season of college lacrosse.

Duke announced the news via social media on Tuesday morning.

After missing the shortened 2020 season with an ACL injury, Robertson was the Blue Devils’ third-leading scorer during the 2021 season with 54 points (36G/18A). Additionally, he was Duke’s Mr. Clutch with three overtime game-winners, including against Loyola in the NCAA Quarterfinals.

Montgomery was the fourth-leading scorer for the Blue Devils and top midfielder during the 2021 season, tallying 37 points off 15 goals and 22 assists. Montgomery will also play football for Duke this fall.

Adler came to Duke last season after four years at St. Joseph’s and emerged as the Blue Devils’ top option in cage. He made 162 saves with a 53% save percentage while anchoring the Duke defense last season.

Mule had eight points off seven goals and one assists last season while Chmil had three ground and three caused turnovers as an SSDM. Badour stated the first five games of the season at midfield and tallied seven points (5G/2A) before suffering a season-ending injury.
