Dan Chemotti and the Richmond Spiders’ 2022 class is looking even stronger after Tabor Academy (Mass.) attackman Aidan O’Neil announced on Wednesday night that he would be flipping his commitment to the Spiders from Utah.
O’Neil is the first recruit to decommit or flip since Brian Holman stepped down as the Utes’ head coach late last week.
Rated as a four-star by Inside Lacrosse, O’Neil becomes the ninth player in the class, third attackman, and third such-rated player. Additionally, he is the second player hailing from the state of Massachusetts, joining St. John’s Prep (Mass.) defenseman Connor Kelly.
The highly-touted attackman who has shown not only great skill working around the cage as a finisher, but also an elite feeder, is coming off a strong junior campaign. O’Neil tallied 68 points off 27 goals and 41 assists in just 10 contests during the spring 2021 season for the Seawolves.
