The Princeton Tigers are the fourth DI program to release their 2022 schedule and first in the Ivy League, doing so on Monday morning. The Tigers did not play a season last year, but had a successful shortened 2020 campaign where they went 5-0 and ended the year ranked No. 3 in the nation.

Key Games
2/26 @ Maryland: The Tigers’ first big test of the season comes on the road against the 2021 NCAA runner up Maryland Terrapins in an early-season contest that will likely help show just where this Tigers team stands against some of the nation’s best after a season off. Princeton has not faced Maryland since 2016 and has only done so five times since the turn of the century, going 2-3 in those meetings.
3/5 @ Georgetown: A second major non-conference meeting in a row, Princeton will open up their March slate against the three-time Big East champion and 2021 NCAA Quarterfinalist Georgetown Hoyas. It will mark the first meeting between the two programs since 2007 and just their second meeting since 2002. The two split their two previous contests, winning by one goal each.
3/12 vs Rutgers: Princeton will welcome in-state rival to Class of 1952 stadium as they look to defend the Tots Meistrell Cup. Since 2017, the coveted trophy has switched hands every other year. Last meeting in 2020, the Tigers defeated the Scarlet Knights 16-11. Princeton leads the all-time series 64-31-3 in 98 meetings.
3/26 @ Yale: The last time the Tigers played an Ivy League schedule was in 2019. During that season they went 2-4 in conference play, earning wins over Dartmouth and Harvard. With high expectations coming into this season, how the Tigers play against the Ivy League’s best program at the moment could tell a lot about where this program is, especially following that stellar 2020 start. Princeton has not knocked off Yale since 2015, but has only fallen by an average of 4.25 goals in their past four meetings.
