Key Games

1/29 @ Mercer: The Knights open up the season exactly how they did a year ago: on the road against the Mercer Bears in January. The only difference is the Bears and Knights are no longer conference foes. Bellarmine won that January meeting, 9-7, last season to claim their first season-opening win since 2016. The Knights then beat Mercer again in their season finale 11-8 in Louisville. Bellarmine holds a 10-1 series lead over the Bears all-time and have won each of the past three meetings by an average of 2.6 goals.

3/12 vs Jacksonville: In their eight meetings all-time, Jacksonville holds a 5-3 lead and hasn’t faltered to the Knights since 2016. However, in their second meeting of the season last year Bellarmine remained ahead until the fourth quarter where the Dolphins outscored the Knights 3-2 to secure the narrow, 8-7, victory.

4/2 vs Cleveland State: Bellarmine opens up ASUN play against a familiar foe in Cleveland State, having played the Vikings five times in program history, including two contests last season. After suffering their worst defeat of the year, 8-1, against Cleveland State in mid-March, the Knights took down the Vikings 11-4 just over a month later to break their three-game losing streak against their now conference foe.

4/30 @ Air Force: Beating Bellarmine at home, 8-6, in a comeback victory and then upsetting Richmond in their season finale, Air Force held the Knights out of the postseason last year. So you can bet the Knights will have this one game circled, maybe, more than any other on their schedule this season. Moving to the ASUN with each other, the history between these two will continue and could become even more interesting as the pecking order of the ASUN is realized.
