Key Games
2/12 @ Robert Morris: These two in-state foes met for the third time in history and first time since 2012 last season. Robert Morris won the contest, 8-7, in a game in which Bucknell made it a one-goal game with 4:55 left in the contest. Another close contest between these two should be expected in 2022.
3/15 vs Penn State: Believe it or not, the Bison and Nittany Lions played an exciting series for quite some time. Playing each year from 2005-2013, the two split the series 5-5 and with the exception of their final meeting, which saw a top-20 Penn State team blowout a top-10 Bucknell squad 11-3, each meeting was decided by an average of 1.7 goals. Both teams are coming off poor seasons in 2021 and looking to bounce back. With the offensive power on each roster, this could maybe be more interesting than expected.
3/26 vs Colgate: Bucknell had two very close conference last season and one of those came at home against the Colgate Raiders, 10-9, in a contest where each side put together solid runs and things were kept pretty tight the whole way. Colgate showed a lot of promise late last season and could be a problem in the Patriot League this season. Beating the Raiders could be meaningful for Bucknell if they want to get back to the postseason.
4/30 @ Navy: The Bison end the season against the Navy Midshipmen, who are expected to be one of the four best teams in the conference this season. Last year, Bucknell kept things interesting against Navy in a game that the Midshipmen used a 6-0 third-quarter run to win, 13-10. Things could be interesting between these two again in 2022.
