The NJIT Highlanders are the 29th DI team and fifth from the America East to release their 2022 men’s lacrosse schedule. The Highlanders are coming off a 2021 campaign in which they went 1-10 (1-8 America East) against a conference-heavy schedule. 2022 marks the Highlanders second season and first normal one in the America East.

Key Games
3/5 @ Wagner: The Highlanders and Seahawks will meet for the first time since 2019. Wagner has won all five previous meetings. Their last contest saw Wagner win 14-11 in a game where NJIT held a 6-4 lead at the end of the first before the Seahawks went on a 10-5 run to close out the game. NJIT could very well score their first win over the Seahawks this spring.
3/26 vs UMass Lowell: NJIT’s first-ever conference win came against the UMass Lowell River Hawks in late-March last season. The 14-10 victory was a monumental won for the Highlanders. With the two expected to be in similar spots again this season, expect another close contest.
4/2 vs Binghamton: The Highlanders nearly had two conference wins during their first season in the America East as they fell to Binghamton 11-9 in a game that was tied with just over five minutes left in the contest. If NJIT is able to pull out a win over the Bearcats this season after narrowly losing last year, it would be a big one for this program.
