Key Games
2/19 @ Rutgerst: Last meeting in 2020, the Black Knights stunned the Scarlet Knights, 15-4. With this Army squd looking to be a threat in the Patriot League once again and Rutgers coming off an NCAA Quarterfinal run, this one will likely go a bitt differently and could even be a defensive battle on both sides with the amount of talent each has on the back end.
3/2 @ Syracuse: The Black Knights head up to Syracuse again this season to faceoff against a fellow New York State program and usual early-season opponent in Syracuse. Last season, the Orange took down the Black Knights 18-11. Three of the past seven meetings between these two have been decided by just one goal. This year’s contest marks Army’s first against a Gary-Gait led Orange squad.
3/26 @ Loyola: The Black Knights and Greyhounds faced each other twice last season. Army defeated Loyola 12-7 in their first meeting while Loyola got the best of the Black Knights, 11-10, in the Patriot League semifinals. Again, this will be an important game within the conference that holds postseason implications for both squads, who look to compete for a conference title.
4/23 vs Navy: One of the biggest games each year, the Black Knights will welcome in arch rival Navy to Michie Stadium the second-to-last weekend of the regular season for the 102nd all-time meeting between these two schools on the lacrosse field. Navy stunned Army last season, winning 9-4. As always, circle this one and throw out the record books because anything can happen in Army-Navy.
Ummm…Army beat Syracuse 18-11 last season 😉
