Key Games

3/12 @ Penn State: The last game the Big Red played was against Penn State, winning 18-17 off two straight from Jeff Teat and Angelo Petrakis. Teat and Donville are gone at Cornell and Grant Ament and Mac O’Keefe are now both gone from Penn State. This game will be an interesting one for both sides as we’ll get to see just how these teams look compared one another two years after playing each other as top-10 teams, especially with both looking to remain atop their respective conferences.

3/19 vs Yale: Cornell was supposed to play Yale the weekend that the 2020 season was shut down. The two have been the class of the Ivy League in recent years, winning each of the past two conference titles. While both look different than they did in 2020, as well as their last two meetings in 2019, this will still be a marquee Ivy League matchup that will likely have an impact nationally as well.

4/9 @ Princeton: The Big Red end their regular-season on the road against the Princeton Tigers in a game that could be very impactful on the postseason within in the conference. The Tigers and Big Red were both top-five teams when the 2020 season was shut down, and while they have lost top talent since then, still look to be some of the top programs in the Ivy League this season. Last time out in 2019, Cornell edged Princeton 14-13.
