The Saint Joseph’s Hawks are the 60th DI program and eighth from the NEC to release their 2022 men’s lacrosse schedule. The Hawks are coming off a 2021 campaign in which they went 9-4 overall (8-0 NEC). They fell to Bryant in the NEC title game.

Key Games

2/15 vs Delaware: For the third consecutive season, the Hawks and Blue Hens will meet in a February CAA-NEC battle. Last season, Delaware came out on top against Saint Joseph’s, 16-13, in a contest in which the Blue Hens got off to a hot start that put them up 9-1 early in the second quarter. This year’s matchup will again be between two of the top teams in their respective conferences who will be searching for conference titles after coming up short last season.

4/9 @ Saint Joseph’s: The most anticipated game on the NEC calendar will come during the second weekend of April as the Saint Joseph’s Hawks welcome the Bryant Bulldogs to Philly in a rematch of last year’s NEC title game. Bryant won that meeting 16-10 to avenge a blowout loss, 13-5, to the Hawks earlier in the season. Both are expected to be the top two teams in the NEC once again this season and this game could be a preview of the NEC title game.

4/26 vs Penn: In the midst of conference play, the Hawks have a midweek non-conference contest against Penn in late April. The crosstown foes have faced each other 11 times since 2010 with the Quakers taking all but two of those meetings (2016, 2018). In the sic meeting between these two since 2015, the average margin of victory has been three goals. That included a one-goal 13-12 Penn win in 2020.
