The Manhattan Jaspers are the 64th DI program and sixth from the MAAC to release their 2022 men’s lacrosse schedule. The Jaspers are coming off a 2021 campaign in which they went 5-5 (4-3 MAAC) against a MAAC-only schedule. They saw their season end in the MAAC title game, 14-9, against Monmouth

Key Games

2/20 vs Navy: In 2020, the Jaspers opened up the season against Navy in a defensive-heavy contest that went 9-4 the Midshipmen’s way. Expect a defensive game between these two once again. A win over the Midshipmen would be a big one for Coach Kelleher’s Manhattan squad.

3/19 vs Quinnipiac: Manhattan opens MAAC play up against the Quinnipiac Bobcats. The Jaspers faced Quinnipiac once last season, falling 13-12 in overtime. With as much as both teams return, this could be an important matchup in the conference. Manhattan has never beaten the Bobcats, falling in each of their 13 meetings.

4/22 @ Monmouth: The Jaspers end the season with a game that pits them against Monmouth in a MAAC title game rematch. These two faced each other three times last season with the Jaspers losing their first and final meeting. They won their second meeting of the year 9-8 in overtime. This could very well be a highly anticipated game and important one for both sides coming at the end of the season when playoff hopes are usually on the line.
