The Monmouth Hawks are the 65th DI program and seventh from the MAAC to release their 2022 men’s lacrosse schedule. The Hawks are coming off a 2021 campaign in which they went 8-3 (4-2 MAAC) against a conference-only regular season and won the MAAC. Monmouth saw their season end in the first round of the NCAA tournament, where they fell to North Carolina.

Key Games

3/5 @ Saint Joseph’s: Monmouth’s Matt Soutar went 68% at the dot last season and ranked fourth nationally in win percentage. Saint Joseph’s Zach Cole was also amongst the nation’s best at the dot. The two will meet in a game that pits them against each other, as well as two of the best teams in the MAAC and NEC.

4/22 vs Manhattan: The Hawks second-to-last game of the season will come against Manhattan in a MAAC title game rematch. These two faced each other three times last season with the Hawks winning the first and second meeting between these two. Manhattan won the second meeting of the year 9-8 in overtime. This could very well be a highly anticipated game and important one for both sides coming at the end of the season when playoff hopes are usually on the line.

4/30 @ Marist: Monmouth closes out the season in a game that pits the last two MAAC champions up against each other. The Hawks and Red Foxes didn’t meet last season due to Marist’s long COVID pause, so the last time these two met was in 2019 where Marist won 10-7.
