Behind a seven-point (6G/1A) performance from Christian Mule’, the Lehigh Mountain Hawks took down the Binghamton Bearcats 12-10.

Three of Mule’s goals came consecutively to end the first half and put the Mountain Hawks up 8-5 heading into the intermission. He added two more in the second half, scoring with 5:31 left in the third quarter and at the 13:49 mark in the fourth.

James Spence made eight saves to anchor the Lehigh defense. Four of his saves came during the fourth quarter as he helped stifle the Bearcats’ late-game effort.

Three consecutive goals from Daniel MacKinney and Quinn O’Hara helped Binghamton to outscore the Mountain Hawks 3-2 in the final frame and cut the lead to one, 11-10, with 5:24 left. However, the Bearcats would be unable to tie things back up for what would have been the first time since late in the first quarter.

Tommy Schelling scored off a Cole Kirst feed to put in the final tally and help secure the Mountain Hawks’ victory.

O’Hara led Binghamton with four points off three goals and one assist. Tedd Dolan made 14 saves in cage.

Mike Sisselberger went 16-for-26 (61%) at the faceoff dot, winning the battle for Lehigh.

Dominating from start to finish, the Leopards opened the game on an eight-goal run before Jake Ward got things started for the Pioneers to help eventually cut the lead to 8-5. However, consecutive goals from Kalman Kraham and Charlie Cunniffe to end the half extended the Leopards’ lead to 10-5 at the half, and an early third-quarter goal from Nick Rossi made it an 11-5 game.

Lafayette outscored Sacred Heart 6-3 in the second half and ended things on a four-goal run to seal the deal.

Rossi (4G/1A) and Peter Lehman (3G/2A) lead the Leopards with five points.
