Week 12 of the college lacrosse is in the books.

So without further ado, here is the Lacrosse Bucket Team of The Week after last weekend’s action.

Attack: Logan Wisnauskas

The Maryland Terrapins handed the Johns Hopkins Blue Jays the most lopsided defeat in the history of the rivalry, 22-7. Wisnauskas led the way in the win with eight points off five goals and three assists.

Attack: Tye Kurtz, Delaware

In a crucial win over Drexel on Saturday, Kurtz led the way with a whopping eight goals while also dishing out one assist to end the day with nine points on the day.

Attack: Jack Myers, Ohio State

The Ohio State Buckeyes defeated rival Michigan 14-12 on Sunday night in their regular season finale. Myers led the way in the victory as he put up eight points off three goal and five assists for an offense that found its wheels early and often.

Midfield: Evan James, Loyola

Loyola defeated Colgate 11-10 in overtime on Saturday afternoon, and it ended very much as the Evan James show. The midfielder scored each of the final three goals, including the overtime-forcing goal an the game-winner. He ended the day with four goals to lead the way.

Midfield: Derrek Madonna, Hobart

It was very much and offensive clinic in Geneva as the Hobart Statesmen beat the LIU Sharks 22-19 on Saturday. Madonna scored six goals and add two assists for eight points to help lead the way for the Statesmen.

Midfield: Miles Botkiss, Harvard

The Harvard Crimson created even more chaos in the Ivy League last weekend with their huge defeat of Princeton, 19-16. Botkiss came up big in Saturday’s contest as he scored four goals to lead the way for the Harvard offense.

Faceoff: James Reilly, Georgetown

In the Georgetown Hoyas’ 23-6 blowout win over St. John’s to remain unbeaten in the Big East, Rielly was nearly perfect as he went 11-for-13 (85%). He also went 13-for-24 (54%) in their midweek game against Loyola.

SSDM: Piper Bond, Penn

A two-way midfielder, Bond had himself a day in the Quakers’ 16-12 victory over the Dartmouth Big Green on Saturday. Bond ended the game with one goal, one assists, three ground balls, and four caused turnovers as he made plays all over the field.

LSM: Wallace Halpert, Georgetown

Halpert had a big week while helping the Hoyas to a pair of lopsided victories. He grabbed two ground balls against Loyola before causing two turnovers and grabbing two ground balls on Saturday against St. John’s

Defense: Roy Meyer, Boston U.

Getting the start at close for the third consecutive contest, Meyer had a monster day in the Terriers’ 9-8 victory over the Lehigh Mountain Hawks to capture the Patriot League regular season title. Meyer gabbed five ground balls and caused four turnovers.

Defense: Arden Cohen, Notre Dame

Notre Dame defeated the North Carolina Tar Heels, 12-5, in a crucial ACC Thursday Night lacrosse matchup. Cohen came up big in the win as he grabbed five ground balls and caused one turnover while helping hold the Tar Heels to single digits.

Defense: Patrick Clemens, Saint Joseph’s

In the Hawks’ 14-7 victory over the Sacred Heart Pioneers, Clemens had a strong day with four ground balls and four caused turnovers to lead the way for the SJU defense.

Goalie: Connor Theriault, Brown

Brown earned their third consecutive top-10 win on Saturday as they knocked off the Cornell Big Red. And a major factor in that win was the Bears’ goalie Connor Theriault as he put up a career-high 24-save performance.
