The UMass Lowell River Hawks Men’s lacrosse program has its new head boss.

Drew Kelleher was named the program’s next head coach on Thursday morning. Kelleher arrives in Lowell following a seven-year stint as the head coach of the Manhattan Jaspers.

Kelleher led the Jaspers to a MAAC title game appearance in 2021. This past spring, Manhattan won the MAAC and made their first NCAA Tournament appearance since 2002.

Prior to his time at the helm of Manhattan, Kelleher served as the offensive coordinator for Boston U. He also had stops at Siena and Hamilton College.

Kelleher becomes the second head coach in program history at UMass Lowell. The River Hawks went 2-11 (2-4 America East) in 2022.
