Kevin Corrigan and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish have dipped into the transfer portal once again and have acquired the services of defenseman Chris Fake and midfielder Brian Tevlin for the 2023 season. The pair were teammates at Yale.
Sources had told Lacrosse Bucket recently that South Bend could be the landing spot for both Fake and Tevlin, and on Friday their Yale teammate Thomas Bragg officially announced the news via Twitter.
Fake was a four-year starter for the Elis on defense and thrice named a First-Team All-Ivy League selection. He caused 20 turnovers and collected 34 ground balls this past spring.
The second defensive grad transfer addition for the Irish this off-season, Fake joins Holy Cross’ Chris Conlin for what is a very strong defensive transfer haul.
Tevlin served as a team captain for the Elis this past season. He started in all 17 games while tallying 26 points off 13 goals and 13 assists.
