On Tuesday afternoon, Lawrenceville (N.J.) rising senior defenseman Quinta Kilrain flipped his commitment from Syracuse to Johns Hopkins.

Kilrain is the 13th commitment in the Blue Jays’ 2023 class and third in the past few weeks, following defenseman Forrest Ives (Cazenovia, N.Y.) and midfielder Warry Calhoun (Gilman, Md.) who each verbaled to the Blue Jays in late July.

Rated as a four-star prospect by Inside Lacrosse, Kilrain has shown to be a very versatile pole who doesn’t always have to get physical to put the ball on the ground – but at times he certainly will. He also runs the field well and with his stick skills can be an impact in transition if needed.

Kilrain is coming off a junior season in which he helped the Big Red go 15-4 and win the NJISAA Prep A championship. They also competed in the inaugural Prep Nationals, falling to Brunswick in the finals.
