Kevin Warne and the Georgetown Hoyas received a commitment from Charlotte Catholic (N.C.) 2024 attackman Jack Ransom on Monday night. Ransom is the fourth commitment in the class for the Hoyas.

What Georgetown is Getting:

Standing 5-foot-11, 168-pounds, Ransom is regarded as the top prospect out of the state of North Carolina in the 2024 cycle. He is rated as a four-star by Inside Lacrosse and ranked as the No. 39 player in the class by NLF. Ransom was also one of 20 players I pegged as the best from the South of the ’24 cycle Coming off a 122-point spring season in which he notched 61 goals and dished out 61 assists, Ransom has proven time and again to be one heck of a shooter who knows how to put the ball in the back of the net from nearly anywhere on the field. Give him and inch of space and he’ll take rip it. Having an especially high IQ, the attackman knows how to get to space and find those seams to make plays. When the ball is in his stick he knows how to create separation between he and his defender. As an off-ball player, Ransom can get underneath a defense and make them pay. He is also a pretty good passer as well, often finding those passing lanes to get his teammates scoring opportunities.

What it Means For Georgetown:

Ransom is the fourth commitment in the class for the Hoyas and the third on the offensive end, along with midfielders Chase Picard (Holderness, N.H.) and Matthew Rienzo (Gonzaga, D.C.). He gives Georgetown its first attackman of the class. And a great one at that.
