The Marist Red Foxes are the eighth DI program to release its 2023 men’s lacrosse schedule. The Red Foxes are coming off a 2022 campaign in which they went 7-8 (5-1 MAAC). Marist fell to Manhattan in the MAAC semifinals.

Marist’s 2023 schedule features 14 games with six coming at home and eight on the road. Marist opens MAAC play on March 11th against Wagner.

Key Games

2/4 @ Rutgers: Marist opens up the season on the road in the Garden State to take on the Rutgers Scarlet Knights. It marks the second year in which the Red Foxes will open the season against Rutgers. Last spring, Marist fell 13-10 against the Scarlet Knights in a game that saw Marist goalie Anthony Novellano make 21 saves in a game that was tight most of the way.

2/18 @ Jacksonville: In what could be one of the best mid-major games of the season, the Marist Red Foxes will head to the Sunshine State to face the Jacksonville Dolphins. This should be a battle between one of the best teams in the MAAC and the ASUN. It’ll be the first meeting between these two since 2013 when the two were still conference opponents.

4/1 @ Manhattan: The Red Foxes open up the moth up April on the road against the Manhattan Jaspers. Marist and Manhattan faced each other twice last season with the Red Foxes taking the regular season meeting 13-12 before the Jaspers won 13-12 in the conference semifinals meeting between the two. This could be another battle between two MAAC title contenders.

4/12 @ Siena: Marist will welcome in the Siena Saints for what could be a game that helps decide the MAAC postseason picture. The Red Foxes beat the Saints 11-10 last season in a game that saw nine lead changes.
