Key Games
2/4 @ Duke: Bellarmine opens up the 2023 season with arguably its biggest test of the year as the Knights will travel to Durham and face the Duke Blue Devils in early February. It marks the first meeting between the two since Bellarmine’s second year as a program back in 2007.
3/11 @ Marquette: Last season, Bellarmine lost four games by one goal and seven games by at least two goals. One of those one-goal losses came at home against the Marquette Golden Eagles in triple overtime. It marked the third overtime game in the eight-game series between these two and the sixth time a game between the two was decided by three or less goals. Expect another exciting matchup between the Knights and Golden Eagles this spring.
3/18 @ Utah: ASUN foes, Bellarmine and Utah faced each other twice last season. The first time around the Utes won 12-11. The second game came in the conference semifinals and saw Utah take home a 12-11 victory in overtime to advance to the title game and end the Knights’ season. This game could very well have postseason implications and a win would be especially big for a Bellarmine program trying to take that next step under Andy Whitley.
4/8 vs Air Force: In another important ASUN game, the Knights will welcome the Air Force Falcons to Louisville on April 8th for what will be the second league game for both squads. Bellarmine and Air Force have faced each other every year since 2011 and 17 times in history overall. Air Force has won each of the last nine meetings of the series, including a 9-7 victory in 2022. This is another game that could greatly impact the postseason scenario for both teams.
