Key Games
2/18 vs Saint Joseph’s: Towson will take the field at home for the first time in 2023 on February 18th and do so against the Saint Joseph’s Hawks, whom they have faced each of the last two seasons. Towson knocked off the Hawks 8-7 in overtime in 2021 and fell to them 11-8 last season. With both of these teams looking to be at or near the top if their respective conferences, this could be one of the better mid-major matchups of the season.
3/1 vs Loyola: The biggest non-conference battle for the Tigers is the annual rivalry game against Loyola. Towson trails 31-14 in the all-time series between the two. However, it is Towson who has won owned the series as of late with wins in three of the last four meetings. That includes a 7-6 overtime win in 2021 and 11-8 win last spring. Expect another exciting matchup here as usual.
4/8 @ Hofstra: Towson lost to three teams in league play last season: UMass, Delaware, and Hofstra. That Hofstra game saw the Pride edge the Tigers 15-14 in the final game of the regular season. This spring, the Towson-Hofstra matchup could have much greater implications as both should be expected to be fighting for a postseason spot.
4/29 vs Delaware: The Tigers end the regular season with a contest at home against the Delaware Blue Hens. It will be a rematch of last year’s CAA title game. Towson fell to Delaware twice last season, losing 11-10 during the regular season battle and 11-6 in the CAA championship. Expect this game to have postseason implications.
