2/28 vs Monmouth: Last spring, Wagner fell to Monmouth 9-7 in a tight, defensive-heavy midweek contest on the road. This year, the Hawks will come to Staten Island on a Tuesday for a battle between the New York and New Jersey programs. Having played eight times in history, Monmouth holds the 7-1 series lead. However, each of the last three meetings have been decided by an average of 2.6 goals. Expect another close one.
3/11 @ Marist: Wagner opens up conference play on the road against one of the most consistent MAAC programs in recent history: Marist. It’ll mark the first time these two programs have played since 2010 and offer a very good test for the Seahawks early on in its conference slate. How Wagner performs against Marist could be telling of what to expect the rest of the way in its MAAC schedule.
3/25 @ Mount St. Mary’s: The Seahawks will end the month of March with a trip to Emmitsburg, Md., to face former NEC foe Mount St. Mary’s. These two have played every year since 2001 and will see that contest continue as each moves into the MAAC. Last spring, the Mountaineers beat the Seahawks 9-5. This could be a competitive and close one in 2023.
4/8 vs Sacred Heart: One of Wagner’s three wins last season came over the Sacred Heart Pioneers, knocking them off 14-8 to mark the program’s second consecutive win over their league foes from Connecticut. Still league foes with both in the MAAC, these two will go head to head in early April for what should be a quality game as both have something to prove after last season and in their new conference.
