Key Games
2/11 @ Virginia: The Michigan opens the year with arguably its biggest non-conference test as they hit the road to face the Virginia Cavaliers, who will come into the season as at least a top five tam nationally. It will mark the first time that the two programs have met and could be one of the most interesting early-season contest.
3/11 @ Harvard: Last season, the Harvard Crimson came to Ann Arbor and earned a 14-9 win over Michigan. The loss started the Wolverines’ seven-game, season-ending losing streak. This time, the Wolverines will travel to Cambridge and be looking to pull out a win. How Michigan performs against Harvard could very telling as to how much this team improved overall from last season.
4/15 vs Penn State: For two consecutive seasons, Michigan has come into Happy Valley and lost in overtime. Now, it’ll be the Nittany Lions coming into Ann Arbor for for a late-season Big Ten battle. Both teams coming off disappointing seasons, this game could very tight once again and important for postseason ramifications.
4/22 vs Ohio State: As usual, Michigan will end the regular season with its rivalry matchup against Ohio State. In the history of the series, Ohio State leads 14-2. That includes a 14-12 regular season win and 16-10 Big Ten quarterfinal win last season. Michigan will be looking to get back in the win column against their rivals in 2023.
