Key Games
2/11 @UMass: As has been the case for the past decade, the Army West Point Black Knights and UMass Minutemen are scheduled to open the season against each other. Last season the Black Knights defeated the Minutemen 14-13, marking the second one-goal game between these two in the last three meetings. It’ll be a good look at this year’s Army team, which will have many new faces stepping up.
3/18 @ Lehigh: The first Patriot League test for the Black Knights will come on March 18th on the road against the Lehigh Mountain Hawks. Patriot League powers, the Black Knights and Mountain Hawks are always in the postseason picture and this game could once again have postseason implications. Army will be looking to avenge losses to Lehigh each of the last two season, including an 11-10 defeat last season.
4/15 vs Cornell: For the second year in a row, the Black Knights will go head to head with fellow New York state foe and power Cornell late in the year. One of the Black Nights’ biggest wins last season came at Cornell as they knocked off the Big Red 17-10. This will be another major late-season test for the Black Knights right before the home stretch of league play.
4/22 @ Navy: The biggest game of the year for the Black Knights will be, as usual, it’s annual rivalry game with the Naval Academy. This year’s meeting will mark the 103rd meeting between these two programs. Army will be looking to get back into the win column against the Midshipmen after falling each of the past two seasons. That includes an 11-10 overtime loss in 2022.
