The High Point Panthers are the 29th DI program to release its 2023 men’s lacrosse schedule. The Panthers are coming off a 2022 campaign in which they went 7-8 and 2-3 in SoCon play. High Point ended the year with a loss to Richmond in the SoCon semifinals. 2023 will be the first season for High Point in the Atlantic 10.

High Point’s 2023 slate features a 15 games with eight coming at home and seven coming on the road. High Point will open the season on February 7th at Duke. They open A-10 play on April 1st at UMass.

Key Games

2/7 @ Duke: The Panthers will open the 2023 season on the road against in-state foe and national power Duke. It’ll mark the 11th all-time meeting between these two programs and ninth consecutive season in which the Panthers and Blue Devils have gone head to head. Last season, Duke won the contest 18-14. This will be another big early-season test for the Panthers, and especially for this post-Asher Nolting offense.

3/4 vs Jacksonville: High Point gets its March slate underway with a neutral site game in Charlotte against former SoCon foe Jacksonville. The Dolphins knocked off the Panthers last season, taking home a 14-13 win at home. High Point hold a 9-4 series lead. Expect another close and exciting battle between these two.

4/1 @ UMass: The Panthers begin A-10 play on April 1st at UMass. It will be the first ever meeting between the two programs. An important game as all conference contests are, this one will likely provide a good look at where each is at and what can be expected from both the Panthers and Minutemen in A-10 play.

4/15 @ Richmond: On April 15th the High Point Panthers will head to Richmond to face off against the Spiders in what will be both and A-10 game and a rematch of last year’s SoCon semifinals. High Point lost 16-5 to Richmond in the regular season last year before losing 12-11 in the conference semifinals. These two programs will both be looking to make a splash in year on in the A-10 and continue the success each has seen as to this point.
