Key Games

2/11 @ Marist: Binghamton has met Marist almost every year over the past seven seasons for an early-season matchup. The Bearcats will open the season up against the red Foxes for the second consecutive season and third consecutive season in which they were able to do so. Last spring, the Red Foxes defeated the Bearcats 11-9. Each of the past six meetings have been decided by an average of 3.1 goals. Look for this to potentially be another close contest between these two Empire State foes.

2/25 vs Lafayette: The Bearcats’ end the month of February with their home opener against the Lafayette Leopards. Last season, Binghamton beat the Leopards 13-12 in a game in which they had to thwart a strong second half effort from the opposition. It marked the third time in as many meetings that these two played in a one-goal game.

4/15 @ UMBC: In mid-April Binghamton will hit the road to face the UMBC Retrievers in what will be a rematch of last year’s America East semifinals meeting. The Retrievers took that game 7-6 while riding behind a nine-save game from Jason Tingue. Binghamton won the regular season meeting last season 12-8.

4/29 vs UAlbany: Binghamton ends the regular season welcoming in the UAlbany Great Danes. Last spring, the Bearcats knocked off the Danes 18-10 in what was the program’s first win over the America East power since 2011. Again, in 2023, if Binghamton wants to remain in the playoff picture in in the league a win over the Danes will likely be needed.
