The Binghamton Bearcats are the 32nd DI program to release its 2023 men’s lacrosse schedule. The Pioneers are coming off a 2022 campaign in which they went 3-10 overall and 1-6 in NEC play. 2023 will be Sacred Heart’s first in the MAAC.

Sacred Heart’s 2023 slate features 14 games with six coming at home and eight on the road. Sacred Heart will open the season up on February 11th at Saint Joseph’s. They will open MAAC play on March 11th at Siena.

Key Games

2/11 @ Saint Joseph’s: The Pioneers will open the season against former NEC for Saint Joseph’s, who won the league last season. It will be the first of many test early-season tests for Sacred Heart as their first month of the season features some real challenges that will test this team.

4/12 vs Quinnipiac: One of the three wins that Sacred Heart earned last season was against the Quinnipiac Bobcats, whom they beat 13-10. It was the first meeting between the two Connecticut foes since 2013. Now conference opponents, it’ll be interesting to see how this series develops and in 2023 should be another tight contest.

4/15 vs Mount St. Mary’s: Former NEC foes, the Pioneers lost to Mount St. Mary’s in a tight, one-goal (14-13) contests last season. Each of the past three meetings between these two have been won by Mount St. Mary’s and by an average of 2.3 goals. Sacred Heart will be looking to get back into the win column against the Mountaineers this spring. Expect the contests between these two to remain tight in the MAAC.
