The Merrimack Warriors are the 41st DI program to release its 2023 men’s lacrosse schedule. The Warriors are coming off a 2022 campaign in which they went 6-6 overall and 3-4 in NEC play. Merrimack enters the America East in 2023.

Merrimack’s 2023 slate features 14 games with eight coming at home and six on the road. Merrimack opens its season on February 4th at home against Hofstra. They open America East play on March 18th at home against Binghamton.

Key Games

2/4 vs Hofstra: For the second year in a row, the Merrimack Warriors will open the year up against the Hofstra Pride. Last spring, the Warriors fell 8-7 against Hofstra on the road in a contest that was very much a game of runs. With both teams returning a good amount of talent, we could see another early-season, close contest between these two.

2/11 vs LIU: Moving up from DII to DI at the same time in 2019, these two programs will forever be connected in that fact. The Warriors and Sharks have played each other the past two seasons with Merrimack winning the first meeting and LIU winning last year’s contest 16-7. With where each program is, this should be a good early test to see what expectations for both should be in 2023.

3/18 vs Binghamton: Merrimack’s America East era gets underway on March 18th when they welcome in the Binghamton Bearcats. It will be the first ever meeting between the two programs. Being the first America East game for Merrimack, it should be a goo barometer game to see exactly what should be expected of them in year one of their new conference.

4/15 @ UMass Lowell: Now both Massachusetts and conference foes, Merrimack will travel to UMass Lowell in mid-April this spring. The two have faced each other each of the past three seasons with the Warriors holding a 2-1 series lead. That included a 16-10 win last season.
