Key Games
2/25 vs Notre Dame: The Hoyas end the month of February with one os its biggest non-conference test of the season as they welcome the Notre Dame Fighting Irish to D.C. Last spring, Georgetown went on the road to South Bend in February and defeated Notre Dame 16-11 in a game where they held control and dominated for the majority of those 60 minutes. Featuring a roster padded in spots with a talented transfer class, the Hoyas will be looking to score another big early-season win over the Irish.
3/4 @ Princeton: In 2022, Georgetown lost two games. The final was that upset loss to Delaware in the NCAA Tournament. The first of those losses came at home to the Princeton Tigers, 10-8, who would eventually go on to make Championship Weekend. This time around, the Hoyas will travel to the Garden State to face the Tigers in what will be another high-stakes, high-profile contest between these two. With both teams returning much, but also having major holes, this will be an interesting contest to see exactly how each stack up.
4/1 vs Denver: Georgetown opens Big East play at April 1st at home against the Denver Pioneers, whom the Hoyas have seemingly passed up as the top dog in the conference. Georgetown had won five of the last seven meetings between these two. That includes a 17-9 win last spring. As always, this could be the first of two eventual meeting between the Hoyas and Pioneers.
4/28 vs Villanova: The Hoyas end the season at home against the Villanova Wildcats in what will be a rematch of last year’s Big East Championship game. The Hoyas beat the Wildcats in that game 14-12 last season and also won the regular season meeting 13-7. Having won each of the last eight meetings between these two, including four conference playoff games, Georgetown will be looking to continue their reign over Villanova in 2023.
