Key Games
2/18 @ Virginia: The Crimson open the season with its biggest non-conference test and one of its biggest overall test of the season as they travel to take on Virginia in Charlottesville. It will be the first meeting between the two programs since 1996. Harvard, following a strong 2022 campaign, comes into 2023 with much fanfare and high expectations. Taking one of the best teams in college lacrosse right out of the gate will let us see exactly where this squad is at.
3/11 vs Michigan: Last spring, Harvard traveled to Ann Arbor and took down the Michigan Wolverines 14-9 in a game that saw the Crimson defense have a very good day. Now, the Crimson will welcome Michigan to Cambridge and look to get a win against the Big Ten team at home.
4/15 vs Penn: Harvard fell to the Quakers on the road 11-8 last season in a game where they led early on and had to put together a comeback late. With as much as both of these team’s bring back, another close contest should be expected and, for Harvard, a win would be a huge sign of further growth.
4/29 vs Yale: The Crimson end their season at home against rival Yale. The series has a history going back over a hundred years, but the recent history of this series has been dominated by the Bulldogs who have won the past three meetings. Harvard’s last win over Yale came in 2017. Last spring, the Bulldogs topped the Crimson 17-16 in overtime. Harvard will be looking for that big win at home this spring.
