Key Games

2/25 vs Drexel: The Danes end the month of February welcoming the Drexel Dragons to the Capital Region. Having played in each season they were able to since 2009, the series between these two has been an exciting one. Each of the last three meetings between the Danes and the Dragons has been decided by an average of 1.3 goals. That includes a 14-12 Drexel win last season.

3/7 vs UMass: Another annual series that has gone on for quote sometime, the Danes welcome in the UMass Minutemen to kickoff their March slate. Albany holds a 9-5 series lead since 2009 against the Minutemen but has lost three of the last four meetings, which includes a 12-9 UMass win last spring.

3/25 @ Vermont: Since UAlbany’s Championship Weekend trip in 2018, it is the Vermont Catamounts who have taken over the America East as the top team. The Catamounts have beaten the Danes in each of the last seven meetings, which included a regular season and postseason meeting last season. Getting a win over Vermont would surely signify the Danes’ move back in the right direction.

4/29 @ Binghamton: UAlbany ends the regular season on the road against the Binghamton Bearcats. Last season, Binghamton scored its first win over UAlbany since 2011 with an 18-10 victory. In 2023, UAlbany will be looking to get back in the win column against their in-state and conference foe. And with how the league looks, this game could have some impact on the postseason.
