Key Games

2/4 vs Mercer: For the second year in a row, the Bucknell Bison open the season against the Mercer Bears. This time, they will be going up against their former offensive coordinator Ryan Danehy, who is now the head coach at Mercer Bucknell won the meeting 16-14 last spring. This one will certainly be interesting, and for likely more than just the storylines coming in.

2/11 vs Robert Morris: Bucknell’s second game of the season comes against Western Pennsylvania rival Robert Morris. Playing each of the past two seasons since renewing the series, Bucknell won last year’s game 14-12 while Robert Morris won the 2021 meeting 8-7.

3/18 vs Loyola: The second conference game of the year for the Bison come against the Loyola Greyhounds. These two met twice last season with the Greyhounds winning both meetings; a 13-9 game in the regular season and an 11-7 win in the Patriot League quarterfinals.

4/1 @ Army West Point: Bucknell fell twice by one goal in Patriot League play last season. One of those losses came against the Army West Point Black Knights as they defeated the Bison 10-9 in what was very much a game of runs. Bucknell will be looking to flip the script in 2023 and it would be a big win, coming against one of the more consistent programs in the league.
