Delaware’s 2023 Schedule

2/26 vs Villanova: The Blue Hens end the month of February welcoming the Villanova Wildcats into Newark. Playing consecutively nearly every year since 2002, the Wildcats lead the all-time series 14-11. Last spring, Delaware fell 18-13 against Villanova last spring in what was the first of three consecutive losses; the low point for a stellar Blue Hens’ season. Delaware will be looking to earn their first win over Villanova since 2017.
3/4 vs Michigan: Delaware opens the month of March up against the Michigan Wolverines, whom they fell 18-8 against last season in what was arguably the Blue Hens’ worst game of last season. Now meeting in Newark, the Blue Hens will be looking to return the favor against the Big Ten program.
3/25 @ Hofstra: The first conference road game for Delaware will come against the Hofstra Pride in late March. The Pride handed the Blue Hens’ one of its two conference losses last season, 12-11. In 2023, Delaware will be looking to flip the script in a game that could very well be close once again with the aspirations each of these teams has.
4/29 @ Towson: Delaware ends the 2023 season on the road against fellow CAA power Towson in what will be a rematch of last year’s CAA title game. Delaware defeated Towson 11-10 during the regular season and 11-6 in that conference championship contest. This is one to certainly circle on the CAA calendar and could have big postseason implications.
