Key Games
2/4 @ Maryland: The Richmond Spiders open the season with a massive test as they travel to College Park to face the defending national champion Maryland Terrapins. It will be a major test to open the season for the Spiders and also a contest where much could be learned, especially personnel-wise, with this squad.
3/4 @ Virginia: Another major non-conference test for this squad will come on the road against the Virginia Cavaliers. The Spiders stunned the in-state power last season, knocking them off 17-13 at home in early April. The Spiders will be looking to do the same this year on the road.
4/1 vs Richmond: Looked at as an A-10 contender in its first year sponsoring men’s lacrosse, the Spiders’ biggest competitor at the top of what should be a very strong league this year could very well be the Saint Josephs Hawks. The game between these two will be the A-10 opener for each. The Hawks and Spiders have met twice in history: 2014 and 2015, with each winning one.
