Another week of college lacrosse action has passed and as always there were players who stood out amongst the rest.
So without further ado, here is the Lacrosse Bucket Team of The Week as well as Players of The Week following the action from week seven.
Team of The Week
Attack: Coulter Mackesy, Princeton
Princeton blasted Brown in a 23-10 victory on Saturday afternoon. It was the sophomore Mackesy who led the way for the Tigers in the win, tallying 10 points off eight goals and two assists.
Attack: Xander Dickson, Virginia
In Virginia’s 15-10 win over Notre Dame on Saturday, Dickson stepped up big time as he netted six goals and dished out one assist in the win.
Attack: CJ Kirst, Cornell
Kirst exploded for seven goals to lead Cornell past Penn 18-12 in a Sunday afternoon contest.
Midfield: Jacob Morin, Army West Point
The Black Knights defeated Loyola 10-5 on Saturday in a game where its defensive shined. However, it was Jacob Morin who led the West Point offense as he scored four goals in the win.
Midfield: Matt Campbell, Villanova
Matt Campbell led the Wildcats with eight points off two goals and six assists in Villanova’s 17-6 midweek win over Navy.
Midfield: Colton Lidstone, Robert Morris
Lidstone had two goals and two assist in Robert Morris’ 11-6 win over Cleveland State to earn their first ASUN win.
Faceoff: Luke Wierman, Maryland
Wierman went 19-for-27 (70%) at the faceoff dot and grabbed nine ground balls in Maryland’s 13-10 win over Penn State.
SSDM: Dante Trader, Jr., Maryland
Part of a great effort from the Terrapins rope unit on Saturday, he scored two goals while also grabbing one goals and causing two turnovers as Maryland beat Penn State 13-10.
LSM: Dane DeGoler, Boston U.
DeGoler had a monster week. He grabbed seven ground balls, caused six turnovers, and scored a goal in a win over Harvard on Tuesday. He then grabbed three ground balls and forced one turnover on Saturday in a win over Lafayette.
Defense: Bobby Van Buren, Ohio State
Ohio State earned a huge victory on Sunday night, beating Rutgers 11-9. Van Buren had one ground ball, one caused turnover, and held Rutgers’ Ross Scott without a point in the win.
Defense: Kenny Brower, Duke
Brower grabbed five ground balls and caused two turnovers while holding Saint Joseph’s Levi Anderson off the board in the Blue Devils’ 12-9 win on Saturday.
Defense: Wilson Stephenson, Duke
Another great performance by a Blue Devils this weekend, Stephenson grabbed six ground balls and caused three turnovers in his efforts to help stifle the opposing Hawks’ offense.
Goalie:Β Skylar Wahlund, Ohio State
Wahlund anchored an incredible defensive performance for Ohio State with 22 saves to help the Buckeyes to a big 11-9 win over Rutgers on Sunday night.
Players of The Week

Dordevic had six goals in Georgetown’s 17-15 win over Lehigh.
