Saturday Recap: St. John’s Edges Hofstra in Overtime Thriller, High Point Catches Fire

11 months (340 days to be exact) after walking off the field in Queens, N.Y. in their last game of the season, Hofstra and St. John’s were back on the field against each other. But this time, it was in Hempstead to open the season and things would go very different than their contest last March, which saw Hofstra win 19-9.

Top Transfer Performances From Week One of The 2021 Season

Nothing was more of an impact on the college lacrosse offseason than the NCAA Transfer Portal. 

While transfers have always been pretty regular in college lacrosse, the portal turned things up a notch. The NCAA’s Transfer Portal allows players to enter their name and test the waters without permission from their current program. The portal has made transferring much easier for the athlete and with the extra eligibility given to spring sport athletes lasts season, portal season was wilder than ever.

North Carolina Boat Races Denver, Second Half Comeback Lifts Duke Past Robert Morris

After falling to Duke on Friday night, the Denver Pioneers rode down to Chapel Hill to face the North Carolina Tar Heels in their season opener and ran into an absolute buzz saw. Jack Hannah put Denver on the board first, but once the Tar Heels got going there was no slowing them down.
