Midweek Recap: Syracuse Beats Hofstra in Road Win

The Syracuse Orange hit the road for the first time in the month of March, heading for Long Island where they took down the Hofstra Pride 16-8 on Tuesday night. The win marked Syracuse’s first road victory of the season and first win away from the Dome since March of last season, which also came on Long Island against Stony Brook.

2023 Schedule Breakdown: Canisius Golden Griffins

The Canisius Golden Griffins are the 49th DI program to release its 2023 men’s lacrosse schedule. The Golden Griffins are coming off a 2022 campaign in which they went 2-12 overall and 1-5 in the MAAC. The Golden Griffins missed the postseason.

Canisius’ Johnny Richiusa Transferring to Syracuse

Former Canisius faceoff man Johnny Richiusa will be playing college lacrosse in the Empire State next season, but will be doing so for Gary Gait and the Syracuse Orange. He announced his decision via Instagram on Monday afternoon.

Can an Improving Canisius Gain Any Ground in The MAAC in 2022?

The MAAC has garnered a reputation as one of the most tightly-contested and ever-changing conferences year-to-year in college lacrosse, and in recent years that reputation has become more and more true. The conference hasn’t seen a repeat champion since Providence in 2007 and 2008. Moreover, outside of Quinnipiac and Marist in 2015 and 2016, no two programs have faced each other in back-to-back title games. Marist is also one of two programs, along with Siena to make at least three consecutive title games in conference history.
