Friday Recap: Defense Steers Richmond Past Towson

Six times Richmond found themselves in a man-down situation on Friday night. All six of those instances ended with the Spiders being able to kill the penalty, keeping Towson off the board in such situations. That man-down success from the Spiders is just one piece of what was an incredible defensive performance in their 10-7 home victory over the visiting Towson Tigers.

CAA Championship: Kurtz’ Big Day Helps Delaware Past Towson

CAA Semifinals: Delaware, Towson Put Together Stellar Offensive Performances En Route to Title Game Berths

Starting Strong in CAA Play, Towson is Finding It’s Way Back on Track

One year ago this week, the Towson Tigers won three consecutive games against Fairfield, Hofstra, and UMass. Prior to that streak, they had nearly beaten Hofstra the first time around in a one-goal loss, which had come after a one-goal win against rival Loyola. That stretch was the highlight of what ended up being a 6-8 season in which the Tigers missed the CAA Tournament for the first time since 2011 and first time in the Shawn Nadelen era (2012-present).
