Can Towson Continue to Climb Back Towards The Top of The CAA in 2022?

During the shortened 2020 season, the Towson Tigers went 0-6 and lost all but one contest by five goals or more. On top of that, The Tigers were tied with Lafayette and Binghamton as the 69th-best scoring offense in the nation (7 goals per game), ranked 72nd in shooting percentage (.223), was tied with Penn for the 57th-best scoring defense (14 goals allowed per game), and was 72nd in faceoff win percentage (.302).

2022 Schedule Preview: Towson Tigers

The Towson Tigers are the first DI program to release their 2022 schedule, doing so on Wednesday afternoon. The Tigers are coming off a 2021 campaign in which they went 6-8 overall, 3-5 in CAA play, and missed the CAA Tournament for the first time since 2011 and first time in the Shawn Nadelen era (2012-current).

Towson Upsets Hofstra in Tuesday Maintee

Just three days after earning their first CAA win of the season over Fairfield, the Towson Tigers welcomed the Hofstra Pride, who they had fallen to, 8-7, nearly two weeks prior and was coming off a huge win over UMass, to Johnny Unitas Stadium for a Tuesday afternoon conference clash. The contest kicked off a four-game season-ending stretch for Towson against the top four teams in the CAA.

How Does Towson Rebound From a Woeful 2020 Season?

Before the 2020 season was cancelled due to the Coronavirus outbreak, the Towson Tigers went 0-6. And while their loss against Mount St. Mary’s only came by one goal, their other five losses all came by, at least, five goals and were blowouts by the time the final horn sounded.
