Key Games

2/8 @ Army

As it has been for the past few seasons, the Minutemen will open up their season against the Army Black Knights. Last season, Army got the best of UMass in a 12-11 overtime victory on Garber Field. UMass will be looking to avenge that loss this season and spoil Army’s home opener, reciprocating what the Black Knights did to them last season.

2/29 vs Yale

One of the better, but less hyped series, over the past few seasons has been UMass-Yale. The Minutemen have given the Bulldogs some serious trouble over the past two seasons, including almost taking them down in the NCAA tournament in 2018. Last season, Yale was able to escape with a 12-11 victory in overtime. Again, this year’s matchup should be very interesting between these two programs.

3/28 @ Drexel

UMass lost two games to conference opponents last season. One was to Hofstra in the regular season and the other was to Drexel in the CAA semifinals. And you can bet that UMass has this date circled on their calendar as they will be looking to seek revenge for Drexel cutting their season short in 2019. And with both teams returning some key pieces in 2020, the regular season meeeting could be a preview of a CAA tournament matchup.
