Key Games
2/15 @ Albany
Last season, Cornell took down Albany, 17-16, at home. Last year’s win for Cornell ended a four-game winning streak that Albany had over the Big Red. Cornell will be looking to get their second win in a row and even the series at 4-4 in 2020.
3/8 vs Penn State (Charlotte, NC)
Meeting in Charlotte, NC for the season consecutive season, Cornell will have one of their biggest contest against the Nittany Lions. Last season, Penn State took down the Big Red 19-13. Penn State outscored Cornell five to three in the fourth to secure the win.
3/14 vs Yale
Just a week after facing Penn State, Cornell will have their home-opener against another tough opponent in the Yale Bulldogs. Last year, Yale defeated Cornell 16-11, getting payback for Cornell defeating the Bulldogs in the 2018 Ivy League championship. With this matchup dating back to 1916, Cornell holds a 52-27-1 lead in the all-time series.
3/31 vs Hobart
The Big Red end their March slate against rival Hobart. Last season, things were closer than they had been in the past with the Big Red defeating the Statesmen 19-16. Cornell was able to hold onto their lead and secure the victory, despite a three-goal Hobart run to end the game. The 2020 meeting between these two should be another competitive one as both squads return a heap of talent.
