Just as they have for the past five seasons, St. John’s will open up against Rutgers. Last season, the Red Storm put up a strong fight against the Scarlet Knights, losing 19-15 at home. St. John’s went on an eight-goal run from early in the second through early in the third to take an 11-9 lead. However, Rutgers was able to storm back and secure the win.

2/15 vs Hartford

The Red Storm play their home opener against the Hartford Hawks. In last season’s contest, St. John’s used multiple big runs in the first and second half to defeat the Hawks 18-10 on the road. These two squads have met four times since 2005 and St. John’s has won each of them.

3/28 @ Providence

As previously mentioned, St. John’s hasn’t won a Big East game since 2016. But they have come very close, including an overtime contest last season against Providence. Following a four-goal fourth run in the fourth by Providence, Colin Duffy tied things up at 7 for St. John’s Unfortunately for the Red Storm, Matt Grillo scored the game winner for Providence in the final minute of the overtime period to secure the win.
