Key Games
2/25 vs LIU: Hofstra will host a four-team mini, in-season tournament between fellow Long Island-based programs LIU, Stony Brook, and St. John’s. The Pride will play LIU in their first game of the weekend and the winner will play the winner of Stony Brook-St. John’s. The tournament is a very intriguing wrinkle to the schedule and it’ll be interesting to see how things play out.
3/5 @ Villanova: The Pride’s first road contest of the season will come against the Villanova Wildcats. Facing each other 14 times since 2002, the Pride and Wildcats are tided in the all-time series, 7-7. Villanova has won the past four meetings, which included a 10-8 victory in 2020 and 10-9 overtime win in 2019.
4/30 @ Towson: Hofstra ends the season on the road against Towson in a game that could have serious postseason implications in an always wild CAA. The two met twice last season with the Pride winning the first meeting 8-7 and Tigers winning the second, 10-8. Hofstra looks to be in a bit of rebuilding mode this season and Towson wants to get back on track after a few sub par seasons, so this one could be very important for both sides.
