Georgetown attackman Jake Carraway and Ohio State attackman Tre Leclaire are the two most recent DI standouts to announce that they will be returning for an extra year at their respective school.
Their decisions come just days after the NCAA Division I Council voted to grant spring sport athletes an extra year of eligibility.
Carraway announced his decision on Instagram on Wednesday night. The Annapolis, Md. native led the Hoyas in scoring this past season with 34 points (23G/11A). He was named a third-team Maverik Media All-American by Inside Lacrosse earlier today and was a USILA honorable mention and First Team All-Big East selection in 2019 as a junior.
Leclaire also announced his decision on Instagram on Wednesday night. He is also the second Buckeye to announce that he is coming back for an extra year, following SSDM Ryan Terefenko’s announcement earlier on Wednesday. The Surrey, British Columbia native led the Buckeyes in scoring this past season with 34 points (26G/8A). He is a three-time USILA All-American selection.
